Python is a popular programming language used by system administrators, data scientists, and developers to create applications, perform statistical analysis, and train AI/ML models. This course introduces the Python language and teaches the basics of using Red Hat OpenShift AI for AI/ML workloads. This course helps students build core skills such as describing the Red Hat OpenShift AI architecture, and organizing, executing and testing AI/ML code through hands-on experience. These skills can be applied in all versions of Red Hat OpenShift AI.
This course is based on Python 3, RHEL 9.0, Red Hat OpenShift ® 4.14, and Red Hat OpenShift AI 2.8.

FAQs on Introduction to Python Programming and to Red Hat OpenShift AI (AI252)
This course is designed for data scientists and AI practitioners who want to use Red Hat OpenShift AI to build and train ML models, developers building AI/ML-enabled applications, and MLOps engineers responsible for installing, configuring, deploying, and monitoring AI/ML applications on Red Hat OpenShift AI.
Participants must have experience with Git and Red Hat OpenShift, or have completed the Red Hat OpenShift Developer II: Building Kubernetes Applications (DO288) course. Basic experience in AI, data science, and machine learning is recommended but not required.
The course covers Python basics including syntax, control flow, functions, and modules, along with data structures like lists, sets, tuples, and dictionaries. It also covers object-oriented programming, exception handling, file I/O, JSON parsing, and debugging with pdb.
Yes, in addition to core Python programming skills, the course introduces Red Hat OpenShift AI, covering its main features, Data Science Projects, and the use of Jupyter Notebooks for AI/ML development.
Learners will gain foundational Python programming skills including syntax, data types, functions, OOP, exception handling, and file/JSON handling, while also learning to debug Python code and structure larger programs using modules. Additionally, they will be introduced to Red Hat OpenShift AI for building and managing AI/ML workflows.
